Editor’s Note: At some point during my adolescence I stopped being scared of the grisly shadow laid over the often misunderstood artform, and at some point while creating the content for this collection I developed a great respect for the work that real clowns do. Sometimes I feel a tinge of regret for largely portraying the clown community as unhinged psychopaths in some/most of my stories, but the work is intended as much as satire of media portrayals as it is a celebration of clowning in general.  -Pratt

Editor’s Note 2: I’m not affiliated with Shaggy 2 Dope &/or Violent J of ICP nor with the extended juggalo family.  I’m not against them at all,  though I do feel a bit like they’re maybe taking this whole thing a bit too far.  I was worried that people would just assume I was one of them the whole time I worked on all this stuff, not that that would be bad or anything, it’s just that I was hoping to approach the topic with a fresh, non juggalo perspective.. I am not trying to alienate potential fans and/or customers though, so I guess I’m.. hesitantly down with.. “the clown”.  Maybe there is room for some juggalo action in volume 2.  Investigative journalism like Danny Brown’s could be entertaining and possibly even enlightening.  I will keep my mind open for the future, whatever it may bring.  -Pratt

Editor’s Note 3: There are currently no plans for a volume 2, or any more clown content of any kind in the foreseeable future.  I have thoroughly exhausted the topic and any further efforts would lose all hope of originality and inevitably end up in the dreaded metaphorical wastebasket filled with other tired and derivative zines nobody reads or cares about.  This is all “She” wrote.  ”She” here refers of course to the author and illustrator, world-famous cartoon star A. Did I alienate ALL potential buyers yet?  I’m still trying out various business tactics, not sure if this is coming off like the guys who won’t stop bothering you at conventions or if it’s ok for me to just babble on like this.. Internet etiquette is constantly evolving but I am not at all sure how obnoxious I come off, and really people ought to know when to shut up I mean come on but seriously I am very proud of all this clown nonsense I’ve put together and I want people to have it, so please purchase off bigcartel or in person if you’re in Providence or New York!  ”Thank You”/”Find something better to do” to whoever reads all this.  Hopefully most people just click the link and buy the damn thing before they knew what hit’em..
